Role and Responsibilities:
MUST BE CERTIFIED GWTG-RESUSCITATION DATA ABSTRACTOR
The Get With The Guidelines-Resuscitation abstractor that will be willing to work on a PRN basis is responsible for the review and abstraction of cardiac registry data from our client’s medical records. The ideal candidate must be able to go into the hospital’s EHR, look up specific data that meet the criteria and be able to enter data into the hospital’s preferred reporting system. Help them ensure compliance with nationally recognized quality patient care processes and clinical outcomes. Responsible for client communications as well as for general satisfaction with our services
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Graduate of approved accredited nursing program, BSN and RN
Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse
Broad clinical training and work experience sufficient to provide background in clinical management, continuing care and transitions of care
Familiarity with healthcare insurances and regulations desirable
Preferred Skills:
Electronic Health Record experience
Experience with Get With The Guidelines®-Resuscitation (GWTG-R) has its roots in the American Heart Association's National Registry of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (NRCPR)
RN or LPN preferred, but not essential with substantial experience
Ability to work independently in a time-oriented environment
Client and detail oriented, analytical
Must be certified data abstractor GWTG-R
Abstract crucial medical data for reporting key quality measures
Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and programming
Must be reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
