Are you ready for sepsis?

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced that all hospitals participating in the inpatient quality reporting (IQR) program will be required to collect data for Severe Sepsis and Septic Shock: Management Bundle measure (NQF #0500). The discharges for this measure will begin on or after October 1st, 2015. This measure was adopted for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 payment determination in the Calendar Year (CY) 2015 Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS) Final Rule.
